OUR STORY

In the late 1930s our grandparents, Roy & Cora Paulus moved to our farm at 842 & 849 Boiling Springs Road. Throughout their years on our farm they would sell produce and pumpkins during the fall in their front yard and meat (beef, pork, & chicken) to their neighbors, and milk from their dairy cows to Hershey's. Quickly their sweetcorn became famous to the locals and in 2012 their grandson, Steve Paulus, his wife Dari, and their two kids Alycia & Kelsey, decided to open Route 174 Roadside Market with the support of Cora. Achieving one of her lifelong dreams, Cora, in her late 90s, would spend her days helping in the store getting to know the customers that came in and guiding us along the way until she passed in 2017 at the age of 99.
Throughout our days as a market we have grown and expanded the produce we bring to our neighbors along with bringing our own fresh pasture raised black angus beef, chicken, delicious bacon, and beef sticks to our customers. In 2017 we made the decision to expand our inventory to include PA made pantry items and all natural goods.
We are happy to be a fourth generation farm, continuing to grow our business to provide our community with quality goods at reasonable prices. Each person we meet has an impact on us and reminds us why Cora and Roy's dreams were to open their own farm market one day.

We are our own independent farm stand in Central Pennsylvania, we are not affiliated with any other farm market or supermarket in our area.
