Our Butcher
Shop
In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic caused nationwide shortages and disrupted the meat supply, families in our community began looking closer to home for the food they could trust on their tables. We felt incredibly grateful to be able to step in for our neighbors, keeping meat available when it mattered most, and that experience inspired our family to grow and add a small, full-service butcher shop to the back of our store.
The road from idea to reality wasn’t easy, and we worked through more than a few setbacks together as a family and a team. By late summer of 2021, we were finally able to bring a full range of butchering in house, so we could offer the freshest possible beef, poultry, and pork to the families who shop with us every week. Some customers even get to watch as their steak is cut, wrapped, and sealed right in front of them, knowing exactly who prepared the food they’re taking home for dinner.
Today, that same spirit of responsiveness and creativity shapes everything we do in the butcher shop. We love experimenting with new and lesser-known steak cuts, helping customers discover favorites beyond the usual ribeye and strip while making the most of each animal. We also craft our own sausage and bratwurst in house, using special recipes and carefully chosen seasonings to create flavors you won’t find anywhere else.
